About url in YoutubeService class

Hello!

Awesome work with the project. I have one question regarding the YoutubeService class. How did you manage to figure out the url to use? You have:

Is the get_video_info some kind of standard that is used across all sites? Could you share some tips on how you would look for this information for another site if you had to find the url from another video site?

Thank you!

Hi,
the video types are obtained specifically from youtube and all users use it implicitly also on youtube site, when they change the video quality..
I think that others sites use different conventions..

Fremyd,
Is anyone working on why the app doesn't work anymore?

Hi fremyd,

Thanks for the reply, I guess what I still don't understand is where did the following url come from?

How were you able to figure out by adding "get_video_info?&video_id={0}&el=detailpage&ps=default&eurl=&gl=US&hl=en" to the end of http://www.youtube.com, that youtube will return information back to you?

Could this last part ever change? Could a year down the line, it becomes http://www.youtube.com/(some new suffix here)? If it were to happen, what would be the best way to figure out this problem?

Thanks!
